Kia Cadenza
STATUS: Unchanged for 2020 - Packing plenty of gear into an attractive package and offering it at a reasonable price has been the key to Kia's success. There's no better example of this philosophy than the Cadenza. The full-size sedan leans toward the luxury spectrum with plenty of content and power, wrapped in conservatively styled sheetmetal. The "Diamond Butterfly" grille on the base model is the look you'll find on other Kias, while the "Intaglio" version found on upper trims appears Maserati-inspired. Kia says the platform is lighter and about 35 percent stiffer than that of pre-2017-model-year versions (the last time the Cadenza received any substantial changes). The standard V-6, rated at 290 horsepower, ships a maximum of 253 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels by way of an eight-speed automatic transmission. The only sticking point is the lack of all-wheel-drive availability. An extensive list of dynamic-safety technology heads the options, along with premium leather seat covers, 12-speaker Harmon-Kardon-brand audio system and a head-up information display.
