Two Young Techs Get Big Boost HRADA, Snap-On Tools Award Each $5,000 of Tools
Justin Coard began tinkering with car engines when he was just 12 years old. Before long, he found he had a knack for it and decided he wanted to do it for a living.
''I realized that working on cars was my calling'', the 22-year-old Chesapeake native said recently.
But his parents weren't thrilled with the idea.
''They thought I was too smart to work on cars'', he recalled.
Nevertheless, after spending a year at Radford University, he decided to pursue his dream, transferring to Tidewater Community College to study automotive technology.
His persistence has paid off big time. |
